Fear of being a Burden

Tell me are you missing out on events and adventures because you are worried about being a burden?
These common thoughts are what I wanted to discuss today.
Do you find yourself on the sidelines and missing out on the fun?
The fear of being a burden or not feeling fit enough to join in and do things with your friends or family holding you back.
Are you watching friends going off to do cool adventures like The Spirited Woman or getting away on a girl's adventure weekend with Mountain biking, hiking and running, or avoiding signing up for a team event as you worry about slowing the team down
What are the reasons why you aren't at the level to join in and do these things currently?
Is motivation or consistency the problem? Have you tried it in the past and failed?
You've had the inspiration, you've downloaded a training program, possibly joined the gym but found that for all the best intentions time just didn't allow.
One of the big problems of training on your own is it's too easy to say, "yes I'll be there," if someone asks you to come to do something, and skip your own plans.
Whereas if you make an appointment with somebody else, or with a group, and that's the scheduled time, you tend to make a bigger effort to try and get there.
I want to see people out there with confidence being able to say, "Yes. I'll join that." Be it six weeks out, be it two weeks out, you have that confidence to know you can hold your own, know you aren't a burden.
If you've got the time and motivation, you'll may be motivated to do a bigger buildup like we're going to do for Taupo 50K. But for most cases, we just need to have a base fitness and that self confidence to be able to jump on board and know you're not going to be a burden.
Fitness is Fun is not just about having the information, it's about the implementation. One without the other doesn't give you the results and keep you accountable and consistent.
At Fitness is Fun we bring it all together.
- We've got the group, what is our support system.
- We supply your training plan,
- we give you the accountability,
- the group supplies the motivation,
- you've got the specialized coaching of qualified Personal trainers
and this all together is what we call implementation,
We have a 6 week Winter Motivation challenge starting on the 3rd MAy if you want to jump in and joinus
