Why does Running feel hard?

what are the pain points that stop you in your running or what makes your run not as enjoyable as it could be?

From the people I have worked with, the ones that keep coming out is that running is hard work.

So I ask you, why is running hard work for you?

The reasons I often hear are

1. Hard work

- you're not getting the reward for the amount of effort you put in,

- you're not seeing the speed or feeling as light as you would like to.

these are usually run techniques, we look at technique to run more efficiently and use forward momentum to gain speed.

2. is pain and discomfort.

So you're getting pain niggles, and injuries.

This is a threefold one that is a mixture of your body isn't strong enough to go that distance and so it is giving out on you, you are using an inefficient run technique where you are impacting with the ground to hard with each stride,

3. is that your body's not mobile.

if you are not getting that mobility in your joints and releasing the tight muscle hotspots then they build up and turn into an injury.

4. is just that you've lost your mojo.

So these are the most common four issues I hear from people, and what I cover in our run workshop and try to get you out there running more efficiently, faster, more comfortably, and ideally enjoying yourself.
