Love your Body

I want to take a moment to talk about something close to my heart: self-love and learning to appreciate our bodies. One of the most incredible transformations I see within our group is the increased appreciation you develop for your bodies and what they can do.

So many of us have been taught to look in the mirror and focus on what we don’t like—feeling like we’re not good enough, and even punishing ourselves with food choices or neglecting self-care. But the truth is, this body is the only one we’re going to get. It deserves love, respect, and the best care we can give it.

Working in the fitness community and with people in the disability field has given me such a beautiful perspective on resilience and gratitude. Amoungst the disabled I see so much “glass half full” thinking: focusing on what can be done, celebrating abilities rather than limitations. But amoungst the able bodies, it can be easy to let that inner critic take over, focusing only on what we think we can’t do.

That’s why it’s so inspiring to witness your breakthroughs—the moment you start to really feel the changes. Just this past week, I got told, I actually look forward to coming now! The glow and positivity coming from her is amazing! It’s taken a year of small, steady changes, but the strength and joy she’s now feeling we can all see.

Remember, you have the power to take control of what you can, especially in a world that often feels chaotic. Start small. Pick one thing you can change, one step toward self-love, and let’s build from there. Whether it’s setting time aside for movement, making a nourishing meal, or simply showing up with kindness toward yourself, every little action counts.

We’re here together, building each other up, strength and community can be a powerful way to start the journey to feeling good in yourself.

With love and appreciation,Anna
